PSA from a drunk who take cabs
I usually read redcricket.com for the camtoons, which are f’in hysterical. When I saw his entry today, it gave me pause.

She and her family were the victims of a drunk driver.
The parents of the little girl and her brother suffered varying degrees of injuries but survived.
Wow, nine years old.
Yeah…I dunno…I’m trying real hard not to come off sounding like one of those fucking MADD commercials, so I guess I’ll just quickly end this this entry by asking everyone to please be careful while celebrating the holidays.
Thanks”
Perhaps its because I often find myself on my bike with little protecting me except a helmet, or maybe its because drunk driving is a crime that is easily prevented by taking a cab, but I have no tolerence for drunk drivers. None. Thus, I humbly request all of you folks to not only to not drink and drive yourselves this holiday season, but if you see anyone about to do so, stop them. Knock em out if you have to. You can tell them I said so.

The camtoons are fantastic. The drunk driving post is a bummer, but totally right. Don’t Drink and Drive. I go out and get so hammered I can’t remember getting home. Seriously, no memory, total blackout. But I never drive, even after 2 beers.
Seriously though, the comtoons are really, really funny shit.
Thanks for the thoughts. =)
wow mitchell that is a really good thing your preachinf there. “knock them out if you have to” maybe I’ll try that at my next family wedding.
Oh yea, by the way, I’m no longer focusing my efforts on my breathalyzer site. Instead I turned my company into a nice informative non-profit site. You can get all kinds of stats and resources on drinking and driving and learn some interesting things about alcohol.
One thing that I thought was hilarious was this quote from Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the U.S., observed that “It has long been recognized that the problems with alcohol elate not to the use of a bad thing, but to the abuse of a good thing.”
