christmas cheer

Merry Christmas! I just got up from the dinner table. The traditional Christmas Eve fish dinner was fantastic. Janet, my mother, made as usual, WAY too much food. We gorged in Frutta de Mare (cold fish salad with shrimp, calamari, octopus, scungili, crab, mussels, and some other stuff), stuffed clams, fried shrimp, crab rangoons (I don’t know what they are - they looked like stuffed wontons), and fried calamari to start. The main, and mostly unfinished, course was broiled, stuffed salmon, angel hair pasta with garlic and oil, and broccoli. It hurts. Oh, it hurts.

Now it is time for some serious couch laying. Desert is in an hour or two. We won’t open presents until tomorrow. (after Santa brings them) Thank god I was able to pay my sister $10 to wrap all my presents. I suck at wrapping. And now I can concentrate on other fun stuff like finishing up my photo-blog, watching movies, and staring at my growing belly. Oh yeah, I had to give the other siser $3 to wrap the presents for the first sister. So sweet…no wrapping.

OK, that’s it. Enjoy your holiday. I hope you get everything on your amazon wishlists.
