Any of you who are about my age from this area (NYC), might remember this little public service announcement commercial featuring 5 little spilled pills next to a tipped over bottle. It was my all time favorite. I recently reminisced about this commercial and the googled it. I could only find a downloadable audio for it. No video. If you know of or have a video of this, I WANT IT.

vh1 80’s strike back 1983-they played the commercial. i have since been trying to locate a copy of it or even a still from it but no luck so far.
I am so glad that vh1 played this commercial. I used to pee my pants every time this commercial came on. I still remember all the words.
vh1 has been reairing the 1983 special late nights on weekends. Take a gander Xander!

I have an ORIGINAL tape that I recorded the commercial on from WPIX Channel 11 in the 80’s! If anyone is interested in a copy let me know.
wow! i originally saw this on MTV years ago on one of those MTV News breifs. I thought it was so strange/ironic. since i am from ohio i never saw this growing up but i want to pass it on and show it to people.
i guess there was a pending lawsuit on copyright violations, but i never found out what happened. thanks guys

Holy crap, finally!! I have periodically searched for this little public service announcement on the web forever and this is the first mention I’ve seen of it. To this day I remembered every single word of the song, right down to the inflections.
I am now on a mission to catch 1983 on the 80’s strike back. Thank goodness this hasn’t faded into complete obscurity. I too had it taped on a VHS, but it tragically got copied over by a soap opera when my Sister forgot to remove the tape from the VCR.

Oh My God! I’m so glad I found this! “Candy” was one of my favorite parts of Saturday morning cartoon time in the early 80’s when it would air just before Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse on NBC! This rocks! Thanks for the audio
