I have been focusing much more on taking and editing photos than ever before. I am now even considering bumping up the presence and importance of photos here. I am thinking about a group photo blog too, where all authors can upload photos. I will also be turning comments on for photos soon. I would […]

powerbook

After a long and grueling 4 months without it, my [very delicate] G4 Powerbook is finally operational again. I meant to post about this last week when it happened, but I forgot in all my excitement. Thanks goes to Joergen who was kind enough to lend his expertise and hardware and software to help make […]

Look how much fun one can have with Hot Dogs.
Click on the little pictures to get printable cheat sheets for your next BBQ adventure. Actually, maybe I should just get a hot dog from the guy on the corner and make a wicked little elephant? Via ElephAntVille. Yey…

ninjai

If you haven’t already heard of Ninjai, you must go see him now. For a while the creators were forced to take the flash short movies down because demand caused their bandwidth bill to be too high. Now it seems they are back on track, and their stoic little ninja boy is still in rare […]

fog-screen

This fog-screen, formerly known as WAVE or Walk-thru Virtual Environment, is pretty cool. A thin curtain of fog is generated by controlled airflow with tiny particles, and images are projected onto it. It’s pretty interesting idea for installations and interactive environments. At the very least, it looks kinda fun.

So there’s a web designer, and he’s got a big gut. He wants to get rid of it, like we all do, but he can’t muster the motivation. So, he builds a website, a cool one, called chubbygut.com, so that we can all go look at his progress and send him emails. He takes a […]

water

I don’t know about you all, but I like to re-use my Poland Spring water bottle over and over again until the water starts to have a flavor. What do you think that flavor is? It’s a little bit citrusy, but it makes the backs of my gums itchy. It’s probably not good. I think […]

Ninjai

Chris, where can i find the rest of the chapters for Ninjai? Im hooked.
Chris responds:
I think some other people also had trouble finding them too. So, first you go to this page. You click “broadband” and then “save preferences” and then you should see numbers across the bottom of the movie and a link that […]

maly milos (little milos)

Wow. I just watched a brilliant little short film, a fable actually, on AtomFilms. Maly (Little) Milos obviously has a hard little life. I felt his little pain, and I rejoiced in his little joy. You really need to see this. I think Witold will particularly enjoy this wonderful little story. Actually, Milos reminds me […]

Some of you know, I am sure, who Nick Park from Aardman Studios is. Others of you may not be so familiar. Nick is without a doubt, the king of stop motion claymation. He is responsible for the whole Wallace & Grommit series that many of you know and love. Less familiar is one of […]

AAC to MP3

I am sure you all know that iTunes Store uses AAC format for purchased music. This format has certain restrictions in terms of how many times you can burn it and how many computers you can transfer it to, etc., like WMA. Whatever. I am fine with that. I don’t care about sharing, and Kazaaa […]

dark

Just like that, the power went out for 50 million people. Crazy. 1st world to 3rd world in 1.2 seconds. New Yorkers coped though. I don’t know about the rest of the world. I think the Canadians were looting. Not us. Calm, cool and collected, walking across the Queensboro Bridge. Well, maybe not so cool. […]

Nestle’s boulevard?

Wish I could find a link to one of the new Nestle commercials. They are very cute commercials with happy families eating ice cream.
The sound track is very happy too… it is an instrumental version of Lou Reed’s Dirty Boulevard… Such an interesting choice of soundtrack… I wonder why they did that?
