119 - i think even when this test is quite narrow on one aspect of intelligence (pattern recognition), its values are closer to real life than the emode test, which gives the average joe smoe 120, just to make him feel better and come back and spend more money on emode tests.

124 - It started out easy, and then got a little crazy. I enjoyed it though. Someof those patterns I still can’t figure out. This time has something to do with it as well. I finished with around 20 minutes left on the clock. I bet iof you do it faster you get a better score. I would like to see the correct answers with reasons why…

Thanks for the link Mike. I scored 164 on the eMode test. I guess I’m not a genious after all… Don’t tell anyone..

120/122/133 can somebody explain 35 to me?

  5. Chris DiClerico said something

35 is a clever one. The middle red square doesn’t move. As the pattern advances, left to right, top to bottom, the top square moves down and when it reaches the bottom moves back to the top position. The bottom red square advances around the outer edge of the box, clockwise. Follow the pattern around and you’ll see. The next one that meets all 3 criteria is choice C.

What does 120/122/133 mean? Did you try 3 times?

35 and 36 and 37 are my favorites.

Can somebody explain 33, 34, and 39 to me? I just don’t see the repeatable patterns…

  7. witold said something

    I guessed 33…
34 is a subtraction. Take the first figure subtract the second… the rest is what you are looking for. The answer here is the shape that looks like a reversed N or a Russian I.
39 is funny. The only piece that seems to matter is the black square. (I think.) The only position is has to be in is in the middle center. My wild guess. ; )
And you know what? None of us might be a genius, but together… together we can kick any a$$… no?

I started guessing after 25. I didnt know math was involved. eh eh

  9. witold said something

well, it is a bit like visual math. You show these elements and give them different properties. (At least this is how I understood it… I could be pretty much off…)
On 29 and the like, the second figure seems to works as a modifier,
32 looks as if it were single elements, but they are all a compound of four (abbc) elements which follow different rules of addition. If you take two identical a elements, they will turn their result by 90degrees. b+b stay the same. With c, the second figure overrides whatever the first one had to say…
And so I think that on 36 the circles outside represent positive numbers and that the circles outside represent negative numbers. though it could be the other way round… (wait a second, while I fix my glasses…) I do not think the position of the little round things matters. 2-2=0 anyway… no?

I could be so completely wrong…

“second figure seems to works as a modifier”… this sentence alone pretty much disqualifies me. ; )

  11. chris said something

Yeah, Wit. I thought drawing was your talent. Your method for 36 is like mine. It looks like the position doesn’t matter, but the black circles outside the ring are positive numbers and the circles inside the ring are negative. The last example is 2 in and 2 out, therefore, I believe the answer to be the empty circle.

I just looked at 34 again, and now I feel like a moron. It so obviously subtraction now that you told me. DAMN! I got that one wrong.

I think you’re wrong about 39 though. I think more squares matter. The black square is never in the middle square, so I though that was the answer too, except none of the answers have the black square in the center…

    Anyone, number 39? Anyone?

  12. witold said something

Chris… the black square is in the middle… (position 3)…
(I could still be wrong, of course…)

Do you think they will accept us at all the top thinker organisations if we show up to their tests as a team?
    : D
This whole army of one thing is BS anyway. We are smarter as a group… no?
    : D

Yeah, we’re a big fucking think-tank with moderate IQs and above average typing ability.

Army of One is a joke, even to guys in the real army. Everyone will tell you that it’s all about team and leadership and cooperation. Some people were really mad about that campaign. I guess it’s been successful because they keep running them and making more.

39 is just about the colors used in each row or column. black, gray, white; yellow, magenta, red; green, turquoise, blue. so the answer is h.
