I got home from Florida tonight. The week/end was fantastic. Literally, a perfect vacation. Beautiful wedding. Much drinking, swimming, sunning, etc. was had by all. It was great. Special thanks and congratulations to Heath and Cynthia for getting married and for letting me be a part of it. Special apology to them both for almost ruining it. Sorry about that.

Saturday night (last night) I got hammered at the wedding. This was expected. I went swimming late at night. It was great. What wasn’t great was when I got out of the pool to chase a friend down to throw him in. I slipped broke my toe… and smashed my head. I don’t remember it, but when I came to, yes, came to after being totally knocked out, I had a huge cartoon like lump on the end of my head, and a purple toe. People were huddled around me apply ice and giving terrible advice. I came to rather quickly and was very coherent without any difficulty with my eyes, focus, or balance. Just a pain in my head. I rubbed it with ice, actually, the groom rubbed it with ice. Just a lump really. I didn’t think much of it. At 4 am or something I went off to bed.

This morning, I woke up to my left eye totally swollen shut, blackened, and a huge lump on my head, basically covering the whole left side of my forehead. It is pretty bad. I am sure I have a concussion, and the bruising and swelling looks horrendous. It actually looks much worse than I think it is, but I have never seen anyone swollen up this bad ever. I look a little like Rocky Dennis from Mask.

So, tonight, I stayed at home quietly watching the Sopranos finale, which rocked, and applied ice. There is not much of a change. I feel fine, but I am a little nervous. I am too tired to go to the emergency room tonight.

Tomorrow, I will not be going to work. Instead I will spend some time in th emergency room, getting some x-rays and expert advice. I am not too worried, except I think there is a possibility that I fractured my skull or bone above my eye. So, I’ll get it checked out. They can also make sure I don’t have any internal head bleeding. I heard that can happen.

During the weekend, I was also thrown in the pool with my cellphone, so I’ll need to get a new one today sometime.

Awesome weekend. Awesome. There is much more to tell, but I am just to tired to tell it. Some time soon, I promise.
