15 minutes for a girl and her dog
I have written about Stephanie before. She has a blog. It’s really very good. Her writing style is raw and honest and clever and touching and on and on and on. Her photos are candid and luscious and in focus most of the time. She’s really pretty good looking also.
I have known all this for quite a while now. In fact, I was the one who encouraged her to start writing in a blog after I read some of her stories. Well, now it seems like the rest of the world had found out.
It started with a Gawker a few weeks back. Today, The UK newspaper, The Independent has a 3 page spread on her, including some photos and a bunch of her blog entries. The online version only has the entries so far. They call her, “The outrageous internet queen of Manhattan.” The paper will make it to the states tomorrow morning. Pick up a copy. Almost instantly, the calls started coming in. Book publishers, literary agents, Esquire Magazine, and even the Wall Street Journal have called expressing interest to either publish her, represent her, or interview her. It is out of control. She is in shock for the most part. I am so happy for her, I can’t stand it.
So, Stephanie, enjoy your 15 minutes, or 45 minutes, or hours upon hours of time in the spotlight. You deserve it. Please just remember the little people, and how they helped you with mt.cfg.

Who, dare I ask, is better than you, Chris? Loving to love you.
And her little dog, too…
So proud of her. She so deserves this. I hope she gets years and years and not just 15 minutes!
