The Sunburnt Cow turns 1 year old!
Those of you who came to my birthday party this year at the Sunburnt Cow probably met the owners and loved the place. Heath, Chris and Chris are celebrating the one year anniversary of the grand opening this weekend. For those of you who don’t know the place, it’s an awesome Australian bar, lounge, and restaurant - low lighting, DJ music, projected Jet Li movies on the wall, and great, great food. Tonight and tomorrow night (8/13 - 8/14) The Cow is having a huge birthday party and you’re all invited. They’ve got a huge cow head ice sculpture that they are pouring shots through (ala college ice slide), a barbecue out front, drink specials, free stuff, and more. It should totally kick ass.
If you are wondering why the date might seem familiar, it turns out that they opened the restaurant last year on the day of the huge blackout. That night, instead of complaining and letting food spoil, the broke out a barbecue on the front deck and grilled up everything they had.
