Interesting. I always thought that the flimsy desks we had in school were likely to break and crush us in an earthquake. When I told that to my teachers, they would respond, “Yes, but the desk can shield you from flying glass.” Great. I’ll be unharmed from flying glass, but smashed like a bug.

The Copp fellow is now claiming to be on the way to India to help find corpses with his “corpsefinder”. I’d laugh, but it is too sad. The man was supposedly at death’s door from side effects of being at Ground Zero (funny how hundreds of other folks spent more time there deeper in the muck and weren’t affected).

It might be good if you announced that you didn’t support Copp’s fraudulent claims.

regarding liz ditz above claim that other folks spent more time deeper than copp and were unaffected. if she exists and is not a phoney email youu will quickly see she is lieing when you go to amerrescue.org and watch some of the 4 videos taken below ground zero; since, nobody else went that deep it is the only footage in existence in the very bottom of the subway station, while still on fire.

If anyone goes to http://cms.firehouse.com/forums2/ and does a search for Doug Copp, you will see what real techical and collape rescuers think about him. Also here are some quotes about his Copp Casualty Locator. From http://www.abqjournal.com/terror/1972
“Over and over again, Copp has said he invented the machine and that there is only one like it in the world.
Copp has used the machine, he said, to pinpoint mass graves in Kosovo, to find people in collapsed buildings in Turkey, El Salvador, Taiwan and to locate many of the victims of the Swissair crash off the coast of Nova Scotia.
He said in his claim to the 9/11 victim compensation fund that he used the machine to find 40 bodies at the World Trade Center, although in an interview with the Journal he modified that to say he found parts of 40 bodies.
