The Incredibles

I went ot see The Incredibles last night. It WAS Incredible. It was The X-men..Iron Giant and Star Wars combined into one movie. The animation was sick. Please go see this movie. Pixar has done it again. Cant wait for “Cars” to come out next year.

UPDATE (by Chris, 11/6/04): The Cars trailer is live on Apple.com, and it looks fantastic. I don’t know if anything is going to be better than The Incredibles, but, As usual, I can’t wait until next year for this. I am leaving in a half hour to go see it, but the reviews for the Incredibles are, well, incredible.

and i don’t know whats up with cars. sure, all car lovers will drool over the nascar race, but what is the big story, i mean, it has to be a BIG story to top the incredibles.

The mention of Iron Giant was enough for me. I can’t wait to see this movie.

Well it was directed by the same guy (Iron Giant, not star wars :)) so it’s bound to be amazing, still haven’t seen it yet, but it’s high on my list of things to do.

Holy shit! I just got back. It was the greatest movie I have ever seen. Brad Bird is a genius. Period.

I have one question: How does Pixar do it? They have yet to miss. Each of their films is better than the last. The writing is better than the animation, every time. It is absolutely stunning that a company can be this consistent. This is unprecendented in the history of movies. No company has ever produced a series of 6 films and not had a single stutter. I am blown away.

5 minutes into this movie, I forgot it was animation. It did not matter. I cared for the characters, I laughed, I cheered, fuck, I almost cried. This is simply a work of genius. In my opion, the greatest animated film in history, the greatest telling of a superhero story ever, and one of the best conceived, best produced, most exciting action movies ever.

    Go see this. Now.

    Finally saw it… ridiculously good!

I even had tears in my eyes during “Boundin’”. Man, I loved that bald little sheep.
