mindless self indulgence
My good friend is the drummer for Mindless Self Indulgence. They call her Kitty but I know the truth. She’s also my good friend and colleague Gil’s girlfriend. Gil works with me from time to time.
Today on Screenhead I noticed a post about MSI’s latest video, You’ll Rebel To Anything, directed (?) by isoprophlex. I watched it, and I love it. I once described their music as “hardcore industrial with a sense of humor”. I’m sure there’s a cooler, more accurate way of describing it. I like it. Screenhead describes the video like this, “One of those rare videos which mesh with the song perfectly, working with the song to get the idea across better than just the song does alone.” Well said.
By the way, their new album of the same title, You’ll Rebel To Anything, is in stores, including Amazon, as of yesterday I think…
As far as I know, MSI is on tour right now, and Gil is home alone. But I could be wrong. On their official website, they also sell some pretty great t-shirts and posters and stuff. My favorite is this illustrated poster of the band (maybe the same illustrator as Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett?)
