hey, one of the problems with celebrity is that your sad, misguided moments — which we all have, regrettably — are recorded and published, or archived and dredged up years later in a different time and place. celine has a great set of pipes, but a maudlin sensibility, so i’m no fan, but many others, including michael himself, have done worse than this version of “bad”
The first time I saw this useless waste of flesh was on a talk show and what a horrible person. I got the impression that she’d be a close personal friend of Mary Kay LeTourneau.
I just saw Celine Dion put on an astounding performance at Ceasars Palace. I don’t have any of her music or anything like that, but the woman can sing. Well. She kind of has a few quirky moves, but I think that just gives her more originality. She also seems like a very sincere and she can really work a crowd. And the show was nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Celine is not bad. She is the kindest person in the showbusiness..or I would say that she is the kindest person in WOLRD. She is very sincere and down-to-earth person. This “bad” cover was great..in the same concert she imitated Madonna..and that was a great performance!!

Céline Dion was just paying tribute to one of her favorite singers/performers in this video that was EARLY in her career…way before she became a SUPERSTAR. The great thing about Céli is that she is still just as sweet and down-to-earth as she was before becoming a household name! To Celine Sucks: First of all, go out there (expect to french-speaking countrres) and you’ll see how much people love Celine. She donates money every year in Canada but she doesn’t talk about it like your homewrecker, freak Angelina Jolie. And I wonder why the world hates Americans, look how stuck up you are. To Rachel: Celine never claimes she writes her own songs. She is an interpret. But that doesn’t make her a bad singer. Even Elvis didn’t write his own songs. Whitney doesn’t write her own songs. Rachel, there are differences between an interpret and a composer. Celine is a singer. She is not a composer. If you want a songwriter/singer then go with Beyonce or Mariah Carey. But let me tell you, I prefer listening to Celine who doesn’t write her songs any day than listening to a word of what other people write and sing. The best composers in the whole world send songs to Celine, for a reason I must say. She receives 1000 songs a year, without asking anybody.

I like Celine. And I work for Stats Can. One of your reviewers obviously missed Celine’s interview on CNN in aftermath of Hurricane Katrina wherein she said she wrote a check for $1 Million for relief fund! I tend to believe that’s true. As for being a Stats Can employed French-English worker, i might lose my job because I have a political opinion, and we are expected to have neutral opinions if we work there. It drives me nuts. I think to appear to have a political opinion is human and if we try to suppress it,we are less than human. I don’t think that the public cares one way or the other as long as we stand up for what we think is right, and count number accurately and efficiently as is the task of performing telephone surveys. Aside from being a fan of Celine’s fine singing talent, i recently visited Montreal ( from Nova Scotia) and I must say that her chain of Deli restaurants called Nickel’s make a Montreal Smoked meat sandwich! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm! And HUMMMMMMM!!!!!

OMG! Does anyone know of the history of this woman?!? A star? Yeah right…since she was a teenager – yeah right again! As a fellow Montrealer growing up with her on local televison all the time, french television of course…..because – until DISNEY “found” her……she was a QUEBECOISE…not a Montrealer / not a Canadian….but a Quebecoise until the day she…..MET DISNEY! On one Canadian awards show (funny how the tapes dissapeared!) she was awarded a great honor…. BUT…it was a “Canadian” award and she was NOT and did not accept it!
