PERIOD. If you people believe that just a voice makes a star…give up and take up watching TV for a livin…There’s more good music out there than you can even imagine. She doesn’t fall in that category AT ALL! Real music requires hard work and song-writing and devotion. She is often touted as a canadian music hereo. but won’t even tour across canada in small towns..wont tour with canadian bands opening for her…and just pisses me off….

Also nice how one of her last ‘singles’ was released as an add for Air Canada at the same time it hit radio. She’s a waste of skin and microphones.

I hope my comments piss you off if you support her, because maybe it’ll make you think! Go buy a Neko Case, Leslie Feist or a Jann Arden album to know what Canadian female singers who have talent are really about…

Think about music and listen to public, university and CBC radio. You’ll learn more about real musicianship and songwriting and talent there than you will by supporting major label and losers like Celine, who are just here to sell records and support the corporate music machine that is dying a seemingly quick death with music world going out of business

To Rachel: Celine never claimes she writes her own songs. She is an interpret. But that doesn’t make her a bad singer. Even Elvis didn’t write his own songs. Whitney doesn’t write her own songs. Rachel, there are differences between an interpret and a composer. Celine is a singer. She is not a composer. If you want a songwriter/singer then go with Beyonce or Mariah Carey. But let me tell you, I prefer listening to Celine who doesn’t write her songs any day than listening to a word of what other people write and sing. The best composers in the whole world send songs to Celine, for a reason I must say. She receives 1000 songs a year, without asking anybody.

For all of you haters out there, if you don’t like her music, don’t listen to it. There’s a whole world out there. Americe isn’t the only place on earth. And Celine is famous all over the world…. funny enough even in America! LOL! Can you believe she sang “God bless America” during Superbowl 2003 and during the Olympics in Antlata. Why didn’t you guys chose an American singer? Did you have to go with a French speaking singer?… Cause admit it: she is good and you have to be an idiot not to know that.

Examples of amazing celebrities would be Angleina Jolie, who donates over a third of her income to charity, and is a UN ambassador…..or Steven Segal, who’s movies ARE terrible……..but did you know he’s a practicing buddist who donates ALL but what he needs to survive from his earnings?

Or, what about people who are famous for the good they have done nd nothing else? Like Mother Theresa? Or Princess Diana? Do you really consider that street rat celine dion to be nicer than them? have you ever actually met celine dion??
