Guy Ritchie’s third major movie, Revolver is set to release this coming fall in the US. There’s some chatter about the script not being as strong as his first two masterpieces, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch. From the look of the new teaser trailer here on The Sun’s website, it is going to LOOK exactly like those two, which I don’t mind at all… As for the script, I don’t have any clue. But I’ve got an inside man in the industry, let’s call him Deep Throat, who is going to do some digging and let us all know. You hear that Andrew. Let us know the inside scoop, or better yet, send me the script.
It stars the Guy Ritchie regular, Jason Statum (Lock Stock, Snatch, Transporter - by the way, IMDB shows Italian Job 2 and Transporter 2 in his credits because I guess nobody can leave barely-well-enough alone), but other than him, it looks like it is missing most of the other standard cast of character actors. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. What is definitely good is that it co-stars Ray Liotta and girlfriend beating Vincent Pastori, both perfect for a Ritchie film. I guess we’ll wait and see for now.
