beautiful knife block!?
This Schaschlik knife block by Martin Robitsch is genius as far as I’m concerned. It’s a wooden box 12″ x 8.5″ x 6″, filled with bamboo skewers! Knives slide in, perfectly safely, in any direction. It’s $110 that I will not be spending. But… I will be building one of these this weekend at my father’s house. Wish me luck. Sorry for stealing ideas, but this one is just too good.

That is really a genius design. I love design that breaks the bounds of normal thinking. It works. I liked your own version you posted on flickr.
Are the skewers held down somehow? Just wondering if they lift up when you pull out a knife. Thanks
