19th century Victorian pornography (NSFW)

My Secret Life by Walter (The Sex Diary of a Victorian Gentleman) is an unbelievably explicit and filthy 11 volume memoir of a guy who lived in the late 19th century. Seriously, this is really, really dirty, debauched, and not safe for work. The author uses words that even I never heard of. And he uses the words over and over and over again. He refers to genitalia by the words that we consider MOST offensive. This is NOT for everyone.

It was originally published somewhere between 1888 and 1894 amidst much controversy. Only 20-25 sets were originally printed, and sold at the time for £60 per set, the equivalent to over $6000 today. No one knows for sure who the actual author is, but many speculate that it is Henry Spencer Ashbee, the handsome fellow in the picture below. It has been published and republished many times over since the 1960’s, and in my opinion, is as fascinating as it is filthy. And now the entire text is online for you to read at your leisure.

Henry-Spencer-Ashbee

FYI, here’s the top curse words and counts from the word statistics list on the website, C*nt = 5357 times, F*ck = 4032 times, Pr*ck = 3756 times.

[I forgot where I saw this.]
