Sonic Impact T-Amp
TNT-Audio, known for their unbiased and honest reviews of hi-fi music equipment, among others, are absolutely raving about a $40 mini-amplifier that now has everybody talking. I have absolutely no musical talent at all, so I can’t use this thing, but I know for a fact that some of you do, and I really think you need to read this. I was totally confused when I first read the review. I thought this was a musical component one you might, say, plug your guitar into. But it is not, It is a very simple amplifier for home audio speakers. It has a mini-jack input, spekaer outputs, and a volume knob. It seems like an awsome component to slap your iPod into. I may even buy one. They apparently put it up against professional much better equipment costing thousands of dollars and it holds up well. Listen to this…
Among many unusual reviews (here on TNT-Audio) this one will stand out, not because it is somehow “different” from our previous ones, rather because the product is DIFFERENT. It is so different than the rest that I dare to call it a real revolution. I’m talking of a sub-30$ (no typo!) integrated amplifier that embarasses the competition. Which competition, you may ask! There are no integrated amplifiers below, say, 150$!!! Indeed, the Sonic Impact T-Amp finds its natural competitors in a price range that is 100 times its price. At least. Now relax and read on.
This is NOT an April’s Fool, a bad taste joke or a test to see how many of you blindly believe in what we say. No, this is the first part of a series of articles devoted to the most insane piece of equipment I’ve ever come across during the last 25 years of HiFi addiction. A battery-operated 6 watts per channel IC-based integrated amplifier that is so damn good sounding to cause harassment to many expensive products.
Wow. I wish had some use for it. I might pick one up for the iPod.

where can i get one of these?
AVOID THE T-AMP. I bought one of these last week and it’s a piece of junk. The system got plugged into fresh batteries and two low wattage speakers with my ipod shuffle as the sound source. With the volume at halfway, the system began to show significant distortion. Within Seconds the entire system shut down. Subsequent attempts to work the system with different audio devices and speakers yielded the same frustrating results. That is, when I could get it to produce any sound at all. Less than a week old, this system isn’t working at all. The company provides NO WARRANTY and no way to contact them if anything goes wrong. From my experience, Sonic Impact is a bad company and their products are shoddy at best.
