Pretty great idea by Bill Gates – funding highly experimental and alternative solutions to major 3rd world health problems. This includes figuring out why 10% of Kenyan prostitutes are resistant to AIDS, finding away to block mosquitos from smelling humans, making mosquitos transmit Vitamin A instead of malaria, and dry-storing vaccines. Way to go, Bill.
Eighty percent of these are likely to be dead ends. But even if we have a 10 percent hit rate, it will all have been worthwhile.”
