real life wile e. coyote (c. 1912 france)

We’ve all watched Roadrunner. We all know what happens when Wile E. Coyote dons a flying suit. We all know.

Well, in 1912, in France, they didn’t know. Inventor Franz Reichelt created a parachute which can only be described as a sheet, which he tied around himself before JUMPING OFF THE EIFFEL TOWER! That’s right. And THERE’S VIDEO!!!

Johnny Knoxville has nothing on this jackass.
