I am pretty psyched right now. I just booked a quick trip to Cairo, Egypt for next weekend. Got the only non-stop flight from Dubai to Cairo (on Emirates coincidentally) and booked the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel, one of the only hotels with a direct view of the pyramids. I made sure my room had a “Pyramid view.” It’s a bit touristy, I know, but I need to be able to get good photos. It’s really my only goal. That, and the Egyptian Museum, which is supposed to be incredible.
From Google Analytics, I have noticed a few regular readers from Cairo. If you’re out there, I could use some advice, recommendations, restaurants, friends, whatever. Please write me. Another reader, and former co-worker, of mine is a guy named Mo. He once promised wrote to me, “I was born and raised in Cairo. When you’re planning on going there, let me know and I’ll have my brother and friends show you around, get you into clubs, show you the hidden Cairo etc. at non-tourist prices.” So sweet.
OK, so the details. I am flying in on Wed 5/10, arriving in Cairo at 6pm. Departing 7pm on Sat 5/13. Anybody who’s around, feel free to join me.

I’m not sure I’d want to stay in a hotel where they hire legless bartenders. Surely he’ll keeping knocking drinks over with his stumps. What if he falls in the pool while you’re taking these amazing photos of the pyramids? Do you want a drowned amputee on your conscience?
I love that the Google AdSense Link on your homepage says “Stop Laziness Forever.”
legless bar tenders? frankly knowing Chris’s fascination with people of short stature, that would be right up his street.
Will, look at the photo. I was kidding. But if there are indeed legless bartenders in Cairo, Chris will find them.
