ratatouille
Just in time to be shown for the opening of Cars, the teaser trailer for Pixar’s next blockbuster has hit the web. Brad Bird, director of The Incredibles and The Iron Giant (not Pixar), will direct Ratatouille, about a food-snob rat living in Paris. This trailer looks fantastic, and Pixar has proven time and again that they never miss. I can’t wait to see Cars next week in NY, and I can’t wait to see Ratatouille next summer.

BTW, I’m reading a great book by pulitzer prize winner James Stewart, titled “Disney War”, that basically chronicles Eisner’s rise to power (and fall from grace). Back in the 80′s, George Lucas was an original investor in Pixar, but his wife was killing him in a divorce, so he needed out of the partnership, and more importantly, Pixar needed an investor so they could go onward. Disney was given the chance to own half of Pixar for 15 million dollars. They turned it down. “Disney is not an R&D company” said Wells and Eisner.
The biggest mistake they ever made.
The trailer looks great
