youtube, now with 100% less dubai!

So much for video fun on chrisdiclerico.com. YouTube is now completely blocked in Dubai. That means I can’t view, post, or enjoy, YouTube’s video goodness. For any of you reading from Dubai, any posts you find that say “AWESOME”, “funny”, “hilarious!”, etc, followed by a big empty white space, that’s where the embedded videos used to be.

First it was boingboing and Flickr, and now this. It’s really starting to get on my nerves.

[thanks etisalat.]

Google Video is OK so far. SpikedHumor is blocked.

Murphy, thanks for your innovative suggestion, except I think the whole point is that I can’t WATCH TouTube video’s in order to know what to post…

YouTube is in fact still available in Dubai if you are a subscriber to DIC Telecom’s services or work in DMC.

Do you still have Wikipedia over there?

China blocked it last June–and I was there all July and August. Grr… knowledge deprivation.
