powerboat
I went to see some F1 Powerboat racing this afternoon at the Dubai Marina, just south of where the Palm Jumeirah is being built. We sat in stands along the shore, and massively powerful powerboats raced around something called “Logo Island,” reaching speeds in excess of 150MHP. It was impressively fast and impressively noisy, despite the crap weather and occasional rain. The UAE Team Victory are actually the world champions, but I don’t follow the sport and I have heard they are not in the lead this season.
I took a few pictures, and thanks to the miracle of Aperture from Apple, I was able to process them in 45 minutes and upload to Flickr. I have never used any other tool for photo management that even comes close to this. It s fantastic.
