This video of an in-game demo of the upcoming XBox 360 and PS3 game, Assassin’s Creed, looks like the best game ever made. Seriously.
Realistic stealth, individually reactive NPCs and crowds, fully interactive environments (and I mean FULLY), outstanding physics, immersive, full-roaming environments, fantastic action, what appears to be a brilliant combat system, and absolutely stunning graphics. It’s from the core team of developers from the Prince of Persia series. I can’t wait to get my hands on this, supposedly “Early 2007.”

as per jason’s comment, I’m sure its fantastic, but Sci-Fi is harder for me to get into. I like Warcraft, over Starcraft. To me, it looks just like Halo and all it’s clones. This games seems to be like Tomb Raider, if they had made Tomb Raider right.
Tomb Raider Legends is pretty great.

Yeah, Gears of War is fantastic, similar but different than Halo. GoW is a 3rd person shooter where you’re using cover a lot and actually using strategy. Halo is more run and gun, less realistic. Both are good though.
As for Assassin’s Creed looks fantastic. I can’t wait to play it.
Assassin’s Creed looks amazing — sort of like Oblivion meets Hitman, but with way more realistic graphics.
I love these first person games, but the perspective gets me kinda seasick.
