Hey everyone. It’s been a little busy around here so I haven’t had too much internet cafe time. Oh how I miss wifi at home.

A lot has happened since last we left off. Today was the end of my first week of near full-time Spanish studies at Adventure Education Center in Dominical. 9am - 1:30pm everyday all week studying basic, basic Spanish. I learned a TON, but I still can’t speak Spanish. I am going to sign up for another week, but not next week. I’ll be traveling to either Panama or Montepalo on the Osa Peninsula next week for hiking, surfing, and monkey-watching.

I also moved from my free beach house to a great house in Dominicalito. I am at the top of a hill near the main road, 2 miles from Dominical town, and 400 feet from the ocean. Less bugs, better kitchen, 1 roommate, and a full-wall mural of Albert Einstein in my bedroom. Pretty sweet spot for less than $200/month.

Of course since it is not in town, I need a vehicle to get back and forth and around the area. I’ve been renting that ATV at pretty relatively massive expense, but my brand-spanking-new 150cc scooter arrives next week. Pretty psyched to have my ow vehicle, a little speed, and a fixed cost. I’ll be trying to sell it at the end of April and I have no idea how that’s going to go, so I guess the cost isn’t really fixed. But at least I won’t be spending $40/day on the ATV.

I have a decent tan, shaved my beard, and buzzed my head in an effort to be cooler (temperature) and to make the frequent showering here more efficient. I take 3 to 4 showers a day some days, especially if there is surfing involved.

When I was on Cano Island, I found the Jesus Lizards that I mentioned I would try to find. There is one photo posted on Flickr, but the video I shot is refusing to properly upload/encode on YouTube. I don’t know the problem but I just sat here for 30 fucking minutes letting it upload and then it “failed” during “processing.” Fuckers. I’ll figure it out and post it soon.

OK, that’s it for now. Off to more adventures.

Actually, I am feeling a little sick so I am going to go lay down somewhere. Even paradise has its dull moments.
