Ben Stein’s Foolish Creationism
A guy made a short video refuting nearly all of what Ben Stein has to say in discussing creationism and evolution and in the process destroys the credibility of his so-called “documentary,” Exposed. It is so scary to listen to Ben Stein talk about evolution. It is so obvious to any reasonably educated person that Stein hasn’t the foggiest clue about what the theory of evolution even is.
This is so typical of the Evangelicals and creationists and fundamentalists of all kinds. They ignore real evidence and the scientific method in order to propel their own poor argument. The worst part is that they flat out refuse to hear the evidence or do the scientific due diligence to say the things they say. They also refuse to have the science taught to their kids. That is fear. That is manipulation. That is brainwashing. No different from the Taliban in Afghanistan. If you don’t teach science to your people, they can know nothing else but the “supernatural” causes of everything. It is exactly why ancient people believed in a different god for every natural phenomenon. God of the sky, god of the ocean, god of the trees, etc. Now we would call those animal sacrificing “primitives” barbarians, but it is so obviously more understandable for people without science to believe such things than it is for modern people to ignore the science.
Our only hope is for every one of these documentaries to be shot down by people like thunderf00t, over and over again until it finally sinks in. Good luck. I am frankly ready to just write these people off.

They argue there’s no explanation for the evolution of the eye… yet there is. They talk of irreducible complexity without acknowledging the answers. And so on…
They are abusing children with this nonsense, one step shy of actually sticking their dicks in kids’ ears.

And as far as I can tell, he looks pretty much the same from his Ferris Bueller days. Maybe there is something to this creationationingism thing.

My school went ape-shit over this documentary. Seriously, 3 doors down on my hall, a kid has the movie poster up. There was a early showing of it at our lawschool. My school sucks.

I was listening to a morning radio show (Opie & Anthony) the other day and the discussion of God and religion came up. One of their listeners asked them to stop using the Lord’s name because it wasn’t funny. Anthony quickly replied, “I think it’s pretty God damn funny actually.” Obviously taking jabs at the listener which went on for a while until the listener dropped this bomb. Besides believing the earth is only 6000 years old or whatever, this guy believes that dinosaurs never roamed the earth. He believes that, get this, DRAGONS were living back then. Dragons! Are you kidding me? Yeah, him and Valkor had to defeat the NOTHING. Holy Fucking Shit, Mother Mary of Jesus! It is absolutely mind numbing when you have people like this who actually still have oxygen in their lungs…. What a fuck stick.

My favorite quote on that front is by Jack Handey, of “Deep Thoughts” fame:
“A world ruled by dinosaurs? It didn’t make any sense! I could understand a world where dinosaurs had some say — but not rule.”
(As for creationists, they’re almost as funny as Jack Handey.)
