obama’s johnny cakes
Looks like Barack Obama may have some bad eating habits in his past. This video is phenomenal.
Gobama go.

Sorry for not posting, but I am beginning to feel motivated again. Always check the sidebar, because I do link blog much more often, but I think the redesign is coming soon and will include many more easy ways for me to post. Hang in there please.
By the way, Google kicked me off of their Adsense program because of inappropriate content. Fuck them.
In a spectacular turn of events at an Iraq press conference featuring President Bush on Sunday, an Iraqi ‘journalist’ threw both of his shoes at W’s head. So much goes through my head when I see something like this.
1. Cat-like reflexes by our Commander in Chief saved him from an embarrassing black eye through the remainder of his presidency.
2. “Honestly, who throws his shoe?” - Austin Powers to Random Task
3. Showing the bottom of one’s shoe in Arab culture is a sign of huge disrespect, and is soemthing Westerners are often warned about before traveling. Throwing one’s shoe at someone’s head is about as disrespectful as slingshotting a handful of human shit into an open mouth.
4. Not sure the Secret Service have been trained for this sort of attack.
5. President Bush: “All I can report is it is a size 10.” (At least he still has a sense of humor.
6. I would bet a lot of money that this journalist will never be heard from again.
7. I am SOOO happy there is video.
Still proud to be an American.

Unfortunately this is in China and not Union Square, but the effect on my soul is the same. When this woman was forced to stand there to watch her SUV towed away right in front of her, she took matters into her own hands, or front wheels as it were. This is awesome.
I love this.

Holy smokes! Ken Block is an amazing, young, rally driver (and stunt driver if you ask me) known for jumping his Subaru 171 feet. In this video, he is “practicing” gymkhana, a sort of rally-drift-stunt hybrid driving on a huge, open obstacle course in a heavily modified 500HP Subaru WRX STi. This is completely mindblowing driving.
I’ve never seen anything like that.

Failblog is officially my favorite site on the Internets.
In this installment, a guy is obviously not psyched about getting a speeding ticket. AWESOME.
Sorry all my posts are videos lately, but is there anything else left in the world that is still interesting or fun?

This clip made my day. This guy basically climbs inside a giant balloon, only to ind out he hasn’t really thought this through to the end.
Man, I needed something to warm my cold, dead heart today, and this little French girl came to the rescue. Or maybe it was a lion with a helmet and sword with his hippopotamus sidekick who is allergic to magic. I don’t know, but my heart has been warmed. Watch this.
Once upon a time… from Capucha on Vimeo.
Somebody should animate this story NOW.

The art of can throwing is unbelievable. I’m still not convinced this isn’t special effects. If not, then this video had to involve about 1000 takes and some some incredible luck.
AMAZING.

Congratulations President Obama, you have won this election in a landslide call for change and trust. I called this 4 years ago when most people had no idea who you were, because I was inspired by your speech. Since then millions more have heard your voice, your message, and their calling. Don’t squander this victory, this mandate. Do not betray us as they all have in the past. Do not let ego or ambition get in the way of fulfilling the hope you have instilled. You now have an obligation to lead as you have won, with passion, eloquence, intelligence, and inspiration.
The most important lesson I ever learned in my life came from Peter Parker’s old Uncle Ben when he said, “With great power comes great responsibility.” You have the power of speech, and now the power of the Presidency. The responsibility is now only yours. Don’t fuck us.

By the way, great speech.
[yes we can.]
Before you vote today, consider this: It is very, very unlikely, statistically speaking, that John McCain will survive a first term if he wins the Presidency. Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, despite what anyone has said over the last few months, John McCain IS qualified to be President. He’s not my choice mind you (as I don’t believe in most of what he says), but he is more qualified than most. His choice to run with Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate is simply one of the most irresponsible decisions in the history of this country, and if I were on the fence, Sarah Palin would have sealed the deal. The woman is simply not qualified to serve in any capacity in the White House. All brilliant SNL skits aside, she just doesn’t have any experience. She is charismatic and “tough”, no doubt, but she brings nothing of substance to the table.
Consider this: Sarah Palin BELIEVES this:

And before Terry Tate crushes her spine, consider her answer to Katie Couric’s easy question below:
She’ll also be the first Vice President with her own parody porno in the form of Nailin’ Paylin, which I for one can’t wait to see.
But most importantly, please consider her foreign policy experience to be summed up by her “conversation with Nicolas Sarkozy” that turned out to be a prank call from a Quebec radio station. This is simple frightening.
In summation, a vote for John McCain is a vote for Sarah Palin. A vote for Sarah Palin is the most irresponsible thing you can do today. Let’s learn from our mistakes.
